On Thursday, December 11th, the group will depart from the Lafayette on a round-trip flight to Rome. Upon arrival, a private shuttle will transport everyone from the airport to the Catholic guesthouse located near the Vatican. After check-in, the group will share a casual dinner together and rest from the flight.
On Friday, December 12th, the group will take part in a full-day guided bus tour of the four Major Basilicas of Rome, each of which has a Holy Door open for the Jubilee Year. The tour will include visits to St. Peter’s Basilica, St. John Lateran, St. Mary Major, and St. Paul Outside the Walls. Participants will also visit the Scala Sancta, or Holy Stairs, believed to be the steps Jesus ascended during His trial. Breakfast will be served at the guesthouse before departure.
On Saturday, December 13th, the group will experience early access to the Vatican Museums before public hours. This guided tour includes the Vatican Museums, the Sistine Chapel, and St. Peter’s Basilica. Hotel pickup is provided, and participants will have the afternoon and evening free to rest or explore on their own. Breakfast is included.
On Sunday, December 14th, the group will attend morning Mass in St. Peter’s Square, celebrated by the Pope. The group will leave early to secure seats together. The rest of the day is open for individual prayer, revisiting favorite sites, or taking it slow. Breakfast is provided.
On Monday, December 15th, the group will take a full-day guided tour of Ancient Rome. This includes entry into the Colosseum with skip-the-line access, as well as visits to the Roman Forum and Palatine Hill. Transportation and a professional guide are included. Breakfast will be served at the guesthouse.
On Tuesday, December 16th, the group will have a free day to explore Rome at their own pace, rest, pray, or go shopping. Each participant will have access to a 5-day Hop-On Hop-Off bus pass to travel between major landmarks like the Trevi Fountain, Spanish Steps, Castel Sant’Angelo, and more. In the evening, the group will gather one last time for a farewell dinner. Breakfast will be included.
On Wednesday, December 17th, after breakfast at the guesthouse, the group will take a private shuttle to the airport and fly home.
